Inaction is one of life’s greatest thieves.

For years I lived in regret. It took me a while to overcome the regret I had for not taking action on a lot of career related opportunities that came my way. There were tons of opportunities that I missed because of inaction. Opportunities in hind sight could have cost me millions. Thank God I’ve overcome those thoughts.

Inaction, though seemingly inconspicuous, wields immense power. It thrives in the shadows of procrastination, complacency and indecision. It is siphoning away our time, potential, and dreams. Like a thief in the night, it steals the moments and opportunities we fail to seize. This often leaves behind a trail of regret and unfulfilled promise.

How can we change this.

Embrace Change:
We are all too comfortable. We need to embrace change, taking risks, and stepping outside our comfort zones. This helps to chip away at the fortress of inaction.

Embrace Failure:
One of my prior reasons for inaction was fear of failure. Its costs, what others would think. Embrace failure. Failure is now a springboard for me. I’ve seen the things I learn while previously failing allow me to move faster on my next venture.

Align your Plans with Purpose:
Not only does this make the journey smoother, but you’re more motivated to take action.

Remember YOLO:
Remember you have on life, not two or three. In the end you want to know you at least tried.
